I was asked to manage Sebenza Village in November 2010, and with kind permission from Lan Yeadon our manager at the time continuing support from our current director Clive Cowan and Wakefields head office accepted the challenge. The five years that I have been here have been exciting and sometimes daunting. I have seen people arrive here with nothing but a dream and very little planning, others with a properly worked out business plan and from both camps successes have evolved.Currently we have 17 businesses operating successfully ranging from eating establishments specializing in Breakfasts to genuine Portuguese and fish take away's, two hair salons, beauty and health, beads, arts and crafts and the original business, a nursery and flower shop, we also have a manufacturing jeweller, a butcher, the original home of Bosveld biltong and cabanossi. There is also a newly established bridal boutique a wood craftsman doing restoration of solid wood furniture and period pieces. The owners of the complex extended a welcome to the hospice shop at a reduced rental to assist with the running of Kingfisher house palliative care centre at Port Shepstone Hospice which had closed due to lack of funding, thanks to the Sebenza Hospice shop the facility could be reopened within the first year of the shop opening. Finally I am available as a proud representative of Wakefields Real Estate, seven days a week to answer property queries and also to assist aspirant business people to rent or buy premises in Sebenza VillageGeorge EnslinYour Uncle in the property Business.
